Day 30:  30 Days of Prayer for Hope

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8-9)

Our goal is not to “plant the Hope flag” around the world—but it is to see change in the lives of mortal-risk children everywhere. We have discovered that we can impact thousands and thousands of lives by helping other organizations doing similar work understand how we do what we do. We call it Hope Institute; our CEO, Philip Smith, calls it “Hope in a box.” Already this year, three organizations have observed our programming, spent time with our leadership, and utilized what they’ve learned to improve their own long-term impact on children at risk.

In August we received an excited letter from our friends at Fundacion Exodo in San Salvador which read, “ . . .we thought you would be excited to know that we have now started our own Conquerors Program,” (modeled after Hope’s graduate vocational and transitional programs).

May the ripple spread throughout the world . . .

Father, please continue to guide Hope leadership as they are asked to share their wisdom and best practices with similar organizations working on behalf of children in need. May many, many more children around the world be rescued, transformed, and come to know you as we reach out beyond our Jerusalem.
