On Mission

Day 13:  30 Days of Prayer for Hope

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

Every year, hundreds of visitors grace our campuses with their presence. They come from the local churches and communities, from the U.S. and Europe, and from all over the world. They come for one reason: to be on mission — sharing the love of Christ with the children of Hope. They leave changed, just as the children are changed.

One of the realities of New Testament faith is that we only experience the depths of Christ’s love when we share it with others. As one of our teenagers said to a visiting group, “You may not live here in Brazil, but every one of you is part of my new family.  With every smile, with every embrace, you show us that you care, and that you will always be here for us. When I look at you, I see people who are not perfect, but who are doing their best to show every child here the perfect love of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Gracious Lord, we thank you for those who walk onto our campuses as instruments of your love. We ask that you bless them even as they bless us.
